A high quality of life for those with Alzheimer’s
disease is dependant on receiving the appropriate care. Often times, those
individuals will need the support that is provided in a residential care
facility. Alzheimer care programs are dedicated to enhancing the quality
of life of its Residents, through a safe and secure environment for increased
independence, meaningful activities to stimulate the mind and body, and nurturing
the individual with reminiscence and self-expression.
The Reutlinger Community for Jewish Living
provides Alzheimer’s care
in the Traditions Program. Traditions is a nurturing, safe, and home-like environment
for both long-term and respite care residents. The program focuses on
the individual, to foster independence and respond to the different personal
needs and interests.
Traditions provides 24-hour staffing, with staff who are
specifically trained in the Alzheimer’s disease process and the unique
care needs of the Residents. This includes nursing staff, program coordinators,
social workers, and activity therapists. The staff works with the Residents towards
maintaining independence and enriching their lives.
